Day 57: Live Music

Yesterday, my student organization put on a Third Eye Blind concert. I was at the venue from 7 a.m. to about 12:30 a.m., meaning I'm very tired, and I was way too tired to update last night when I got back, or this morning, rather.

I was the runner for the band/crew, which means I was sent on ridiculous tasks around town, the most ridiculous being finding four large black fedoras. I had to go back to different stores 3 different times, because the first ones were too girly and the second ones were too large, so I had go to back the 3rd time to get smaller sizes. I didn't know what they were for, but I assumed they were for the band to wear as part of a costume or something. But, no. They were for the crew to wear, to walk around in. Awesome. And then their road manager gave me a 2-page list of food and travel dental hygiene equipment to get at the store, and told me she needed it there before the band got to the venue. Which turned out to be 10 minutes after I left. So that definitely didn't happen.

The concert was OK. I was kind of bored, since I really only know around 4 songs by Third Eye Blind. But it wasn't Nickelback.

But this concert just made me want to see more concerts. Really bad. I'm really excited for the Pat Benetar concert, and I'm really excited to make a list of bands I plan to see in concert. I'm making a list, and I'm going to search the tour dates. I'll travel all around the country this summer if I have to, stalking my favorite bands. Just kidding. But I should.
