Day 46: Freedom Playlist

It really amazes me that I can not listen to certain songs for 46 days, and still get them stuck in my head. By "amazes me," I mean makes me really, really happy. I'm not sure what it means yet, that I can still sing and hear them in my head without listening to them, but whatever it means, I like it. Maybe it means that I don't have to listen to the song to hear it. What a concept!

Anyway, this post isn't about me singing songs that I haven't heard in months. This post is about what I'm going to listen to when I can listen to songs that I haven't heard in months. Here's my Freedom Playlist:

1. "Paperthin Hymn" - Anberlin
2. "*Fin" - Anberlin
3. Probably every other song by Anberlin ever recorded.
4. "Set Phasers to Stun" - Taking Back Sunday (The only Star Trek reference I ever enjoyed.)
5. "Timberwolves at New Jersey" - Taking Back Sunday
6. "Stupid Kid" - Alkaline Trio
7. "Private Eye" - Alkaline Trio
8. "Seasons" - Good Charlotte (I have NO idea why I want to listen to this. It's from their very first CD, and I haven't even listened to Good Charlotte, period, in like, over a year. Maybe more.
9. "You're So Last Summer" - Taking Back Sunday
10. Ok, so probably every Taking Back Sunday song ever recorded as well.
11. "Wonderwall" - Oasis
12. "Right Now" - Akon
13. "Fire Burning" - Sean Kingston
14. "The Emergency" - Run Kid Run
15. "Pet Semetary" - The Ramones
16. "I Believe in Miracles" - The Ramones
17. Not every other Ramones song ever recorded, because I'd be there for years.
18. "Alexithymia" - Anberlin (Which I just found out is the word for "without words for emotions." I know I already said I'd listen to every other Anberlin song ever recorded, but this one is too good not to mention by name.)
19. "The Taste of Ink" - The Used
20. "All Downhill from Here" - New Found Glory

And this is just the beginning.

I realized, through this experience, that I really don't have hardly any of my music on my iTunes or my iPod. I have tons of CDs I burnt in high school, and I happen to still listen to the same music, that I never ripped onto my laptop. So I'm definitely going to do that.
