Day 9: No Spring Music

So today it feels like spring. I know that it obviously isn't spring, or even close to spring, but it sure feels like it. It's so beautiful out that I didn't even have to wear gloves or a hat. I just saw some people walking outside in hoodies, and they didn't look as stupid as usual.

On days like this, when I feel like the snow is all going to melt and I could sit outside and read, or jump rope, I have a specific soundtrack I listen to. Once upon a time, when I was around fourteen, spring seemed to last forever. My sister had her license, and we used to drive around town, listening to a CD that featured "Stupid Kid" by Alkaline Trio, and all kinds of pop punk, borderline obnoxious, music. I love it, and have since made my own mixed CDs with the "spring" music. But this year, I won't be listening to that.

I wanted nothing more today than to put in one of my spring mixes and enjoy the music and the melting snow. It's a little sad, but I'll get over it. I'm just hoping that if we do get a spring this year, it comes a little later, like the first week of May. So, please, weather, work with me.
