Day 32: Dancing!!

Tonight I went dancing with my boyfriend and my friend at the Wild Rover. The music was great. There was no Nickelback. Anyway, the exciting part is that I saw world-renowned speed skater, Anthony Lobello, there!

Speaking of speed skating reminds me of the Olympics, which brings me to this very disgusting fact. My sister told me that Nickelback is playing at the closing ceremonies of the Olympics. Guess who won't be watching them? I think it's because they're from Canada. I don't know, but I feel bad for everyone who got tickets for the closing ceremonies. Bad move, Olympics committee, bad move. Why not get some other Canadian artist, like the rapper known as Drake? Sure, his music might not be family-friendly, but he's got a large fan base already, seeing as how he was on Degrassi: The Next Generation for eight years.

In other news, today I played guitar for the first time in forever. I'm not good, but I have a good time. The music I played, even though it was pretty bad, was a very welcome break from Nickelback. I looked up a couple of Anberlin tabs and played those. They didn't quite sound like the songs, but they sounded a lot better than my usual music choice. I scared myself, because at one point, I couldn't even remember how one of the songs went. Sad news.

I even made up a song with the same chords that Anberlin uses. I noticed that a lot of the time they use the same chords, which are really pretty. So I just went out and made my own rhythm out of them. If anyone knows how to link a sound clip to a post, I'll totally link it for you guys. This is big, because I don't play anything for anyone. But maybe I'll make an exception. Desperate times.
