This doesn't make much sense. I was trying to make it be like, "no news is good news," which is a good quotes and a song by New Found Glory that I like, but it just doesn't work well with music. But the point is, I went to the gym today, and I worked out without any music at all. It worked a lot better than forcing myself to listen to Nickelback, which I know I said I would do, but I tried it once and I hated it. So I worked out in complete silence, with only the chugging of the tread mill making noise. It was kind of like the Twilight Zone. The TVs were on, but they were muted, so I watched curling with subtitles as I ran. Which was strange, but much better than Nickelback. Trust me on this one.
Something cool happened today. All of the cars were moved out my apartment parking lot because they were plowing (yes, the only time they actually plow is when the snow is all melting anyway), and I found a CD lying face-down in a puddle. I turned it over to find that it's a pretty cool compilation CD, featuring music from AFI, Rise Against, The Used, and other people that I like. I'm currently trying to nurse it back to health. There aren't any deep gashes or anything, but it's pretty muddy. It's going to take some work, but I think I can make it play.
I'll have the grand first attempt after my challenge is done, and let everyone know how it goes. Hopefully it will be sucessful and I'll have scored a new awesome free CD to play in my car. I know that it probably belonged to someone, and I felt bad for about two seconds, but my sister reassured me by telling me somebody probably lost it six months ago. So I figured, they thought it was gone for good anyway. Plus, it was going to get run over by the plow, so it was fair game.
In other news, the hallway of my apartment smells like pickled herring. Not good.
